Can you help me win a ducati?
You see, I got this dream of owning a superbike. Or atleast a powerful premium bike. But am not financially in a condition to buy one due to various reasons. So the thing is, Ducati Asia, has brought out a photo contest in which the winner gets their new ducati monster 795 I mean that is unbeleivable. So I got one of my photos in. Everytime I see the Ducati Streetfighter I can't stop gawking. But at $18K I am quickly brought back to reality. I was admiring a similar looking Aprilla bike last weekend, it's nice but not quiet as hypnotic as the Ducati. BTW the Aprilla sell for $6500, a much more realistic price where I'm concerned. I've never driven a motorcycle by the way.
Ducati 749s stalling at lights and when idle over 3 or 4 min!?
Hi Folks im new to ducati and have purchased a 749s 2005 04 model i beleive with silver frame?? anyways the problem is when it idles for over a few mins it just cuts out it is then fine when im going but when i pull up at lights or junctions then it cuts out nearly all the time.. very frustrating ,I am aware this is a very common fault with the 749 but can anyone tell me any of there experiences or give some advice? i beleive that the fix is to reset the tps and re balance check tick over etc electrics can anyone tell me how much this should cost? surly this is a big issue with these bikes which could be dangerous should ducati not offer a fix? it seems to be getting slightly worse but starts no problems again apart from blipping the throttle at lights this is driving me mental my nearest dealer is ducati glasgow
Ducati m900 brake line fittings?
Hey guys i have a 1996 ducati m900 monster. i want to get some new braided brake lines for it. Once summer comes back i was going to take it in to my local dealer to custom fit some new brake lines with a nice t split in it. i was wondering if it would just be easier to pull the lines off a monster s2r? thats the design i want but i dont know if they will fit on my bike. any advice would be great, and im looking for the brake and clutch lines. thanks
Ducati Monster 696 as a first motorcycle?
I did the motorcycle safety course and got my M2 license in Canada this has no restriction, other than 0.00 % alcohol .I got a perfect score on my M1 exit road test and feel very comfortable on a mid size motorcycle, so I am now looking at the Ducati Monster 696 as a starting bike.I went to two different dealers. The first one was a Ducati dealer and the guy there said that the light body, superior breaking and gradual acceleration make this a good beginner bike. I was somewhat skeptical, but I then went to a general dealer and he basically said the same thing, even though he had many other brands and motorcycles in the showroom. So, my question is would this make a good first motorcycle? The promise of gradual acceleration and the abs system make me feel very confident. Also, I can't believe how cheap the brand new 2012 model is. Are there any real downsides?
Motorcycle like Ducati sport 1000?
I love the style of the ducati sportclassic 1000 but the price is ridiculous. Are there any other bikes that look and are virtually the same.I can't spend a ton of money but i know what it'll cost for what i'm looking at.Ok and to clear up I am not a beginner. I may be young but I currently race dirtbikes in a professional open class here in Colorado. So I can definitely handle a 1000cc bike. I'm responsible. I have been looking more into the Ducati monster and have found a nice used one too.
