Am Legally liable for lien on motorcycle?
Unfortunately I bought a bike yrs ago in NY with a lien on the title. It was old and I had no intentions of selling it. I even called the lien company and someone said there was no lien remaining. The bike was sold several times before me without issue.I have subsequently relocted to TX and now getting it titled and registed here is an issue because it is apparently a " Title Holding State" , which means they would send the title to the lien company and not me if I tried to register it.This was a non issue in NY because we would simply get the title mailed to us from the DMV instead of them mailing it to the lien company but TX is apparently a different story. They said they will take my NY title and send the TX title to the lien company who has never heard of me and I will have no title in my posseision. So I thought it would be best to get the title release letter from the company first so that TX would mail me the title. I contacted the company and they asked me to fax a request for a lien release letter. But then I got to thinking...if it turns out that there is still a lien on this bike, will the company now say that the lien is my legal responsibilty because I own the bike now? I know they would have a claim to the bike and they could come get it but would I be legally responsible for the debt i.e. affect my credit report, etc... I know now I shouldn't have bought it without the title clear anyway but I was much younger back then and not smart about these things. My question is could the company make me officially and legally liable for the lien affect my credit report, etc... if one exists?What could they do once I fax them all my info for the release letter and it turns out that a lien does exist? Can we please skip the " Your so supid" , " it sucks to be you" and " that's your problem now" comments. This we all already know. What I don't know is what is the worse case scenario here? Does anyone know?

Is it a good idea to have a motorcycle as a primary vehicle?
I can imagine it would be a good idea if you lived in a warmer place like California or somewhere similar but if you live further up is it a good idea or will snow and what not make it impossible to drive it 4 5 months a year

Good beginner motorcycle?
Okay so I finally got my dad to let me buy a motorcycle once I graduate from high school and enroll in the local community college. it will be my first motorcycle I'm only really interested in sport bikes and have always liked the way the 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250r looks. I have been doing a lot of research this last week online and at dealerships and have realized that I might want something more than a 250cc. A lot of people on online forums say that a 600cc is a great starter bike, but others say a motorcycle such as a GSX R600 is too much bike for a beginner. After reading more I have realized that a 600cc that isn't in the " super bike" class is a good starter. So now i'm really thinking about a used ninja 650r, preferably the newer body style. I sat on a ninja 650r and a 250r they both were a great fit for me. I'm about 5'8" and 145 pounds. I'm also going to take the MSF safety course before I get the bike. I'm only buying a bike for recreational purposes because I already have a car for daily driving. I want something that I won't grow out of really quick, has some power, and will help me learn how to ride correctly. I know there's already a lot of questions like this on answers but I wanted to ask one for my specific situation. I would really appreciate it if some experienced riders could help guide me in the right direction, thanks.

Motorcycle jacket that has hearts or spades on the sleeves...?
I seen these motorcycle jackets online about a year ago. They came in several different colors. Each color had a different emblem running down the sleeve... one was hearts, one was spades, one might have been diamonds. I thought they were icon jackets, but now I can't find anywhere.
